Who is AECH?
AECH comprises people of faith representing many faith traditions who are committed to helping our homeless neighbors gain a positive place within society. We listen to needs, create public awareness, advocate for the homeless and help raise funds for the Warming Souls Winter Overflow Shelter.
2011 Warming Souls Winter Overflow
The Warming Souls Winter Overflow Shelter opened on 1 November and closed at the end of March. AECH would like to thank donors, volunteers, host sites, service providers, and everyone else who participated in the Overflow shelter this year. Without your dedicated care and steadfast passion to serve our community, the 2011 Warming Souls Winter Overflow would not have been as safe or successful.
AECH will continue to meet each Tuesday at 5:30pm in the Inter-Faith Ministries building at 829 N. Market. AECH's role regarding the overflow shelter has changed, though we will maintain our role as advocates in the community. Our original commitment was to administer an overflow shelter for three years. We fulfilled this commitment joyfully and administered for one additional year with equal joy and passion for the cause. Inter-Faith Ministries has graciously taken up administration of the overflow shelter for the 2012/2013 season. AECH will continue to support future overflow shelters as advocates and fundraisers.
